Biography

A Sciences Po Paris and University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne graduate, Aurélie Lapidus is in charge of the VEOLIA Group’s waste activities in the Hauts-de-France region.

Aurélie Lapidus began her career in 1997 as a diplomat in the European section of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Paris). She was diplomatic advisor to the Minister of Employment and Solidarity and negotiator for France on European environmental legislation in Brussels.

After graduating from ENA in 2008, she joined the General Inspectorate of Finance where she conducted audit and advisory missions for the French government and the IMF.

Appointed advisor to the Prime Minister on European affairs in 2014, she was promoted in 2015 to Deputy Secretary General of the General Secretariat for European Affairs (Prime Minister’s Office, Paris).

She joined Veolia in 2017 as Chief of Staff to Chairman and CEO Antoine Frérot and member of the Group’s Management Committee.

In May 2020, she was appointed Regional Director for the North Normandy region of VEOLIA for the Waste Recycling & Recovery activity.
