Biography
Kathie Werquin-Wattebled has been an agent of the Banque de France for several years and has built up a solid experience through her various functions. She is now Regional Director for the Hauts-de-France region.
As a student at Science-Po Strasbourg, she started a preparatory course for the ENA before being noticed by an economics professor for her interest in monetary policy.
After gaining experience in banking supervision and business services, Kathie Werquin-Wattebled joined the Banque de France as a departmental manager in Savoie, Chambéry, and then in Brest, Brittany.
She then left for South Africa. She became involved in an association called Mafubo, which aims to empower women financially, and became its vice-president.
Back in France, she joined the head office of the Banque de France in Paris, in the Individuals Department, before being appointed Regional Director for the Hauts-de-France, her home region.
