Max currently leads the Pre-Sales Engineering organization in Latin America and represents the region at the Americas Sales and Engineering Leadership Teams. He is serving as Trustee at the Board of Directors for the Cisco Foundation.

Biography

On his previous role managing Mexico’s presales engineering for 6 years, he collaborated closely with the Federal Government, Universities and Industry associations to drive Mexico’s innovation, inclusion and competitiveness. He also sat on external boards like the Computer Science Career Board at the ITESM CEM and was a member of the Executive Council at the Center for the Development of the IT industry in Mexico CEDITIM.

Max has participated in several worldwide initiatives like Role Based Development, Executive Sponsor for the Collaboration Community of Interest and Theater Sponsor for SP technologies in Emerging Markets (Eastern Europe, Africa, Middle East and Latin America). He contributes on a regular basis on the Leadership Programs for Systems Engineers and Managers in the WW Systems Engineering Organization. 

Always passionate about inclusion he sponsors the Women in Science and Engineering chapter in Latin America and has participated as a speaker in several diversity events like Fortune’s Powerful Women in Costa Rica and CiscoLive! Cancun.

Prior to his 19 years at Cisco, Max worked for several companies like Ericsson, Sony Music, Qualli, Procter & Gamble and  co-founded Senko Electronics.

Max has a bachelor degree in electronics and communications engineering from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey and the Florida International University. He also participated on IPADE Business School post graduate corporate programs.
