Whatever the calculations, the findings are the same: humanity lives above the means that nature puts at its disposal. To open the 3 days of debate, it is important to once again specify the issues and challenges that we face today.

What to do? 

Firt African woman to receive the Nobel Peace Prize (2004), she is a Kenyan environmentalist known for her fight against deforestation. Mrs Wangari MAATHAI, in 1977, founded the Green Belt Mouvement and within this framework, already planted over 30 million trees !

Through her commitment to environmental causes she wishes ti testify on the urgency and show that it is hight time to recognize the impact of human activity on our environment.
