Moderator Laura CATANA

Biography

Laura is an energetic social intrapreneur, enthusiastic to work on wide-impact, international projects. She is passionate about contributing to positive change in society and is eager to work towards a world where each innovation can easily find the resources to bloom.

At Ashoka, Laura is working on developing Ashoka's presence, as well as contributing to innovating new ways to identify innovative social entrepreneurs in the entire region. Over the past years, she coordinated «THIS WORKS» initiative, a one million euro program supported by the Robert Bosch Stiftung, through which she also supported the launch of two new Ashoka offices in Italy and Greece and developed and implemented a methodology to scale-up social innovations across borders.

Laura is a member of GECES, an expert group of the European Commission on Social Entrepreneurship and is the rapporteur of the working group focused on the external dimension which looks at how to enable social enterprises as key drivers for international development and growth
