Speaker Déborah CHERENFANT

Biography

In 2011, Deborah Cherenfant founded "Mots d'Elles" ("In Her Words"), a media outlet dedicated to spreading the inspiration and renown of business women and influential women. In 2012, she launched Coloré Design, a Montreal-based fashion and design workshop pursuing more custom productions, in addition to organizing a seasonal concept store. A talented speaker and event host, Deborah has conducted numerous high-profile interviews with influential women, like Christiane Taubira in March 2016.

After completing her studies in entrepreneurship at the HEC Montreal Business School, she began her career in consulting and in corporate launch / finance, as well as entrepreneurship project development from 2009 forward. She continued to apply her skills within the business community through collaboration on entrepreneurship-based creative projects. Deborah currently presides the CA de Compagnie F, an organization supporting female entrepreneurship since 1997.

Recipient of several prestigious awards, including "Best Canadian Business Blog" in 2013 and the "Journalism Challenge" in 2014, Ms. Cherenfant is the 2016 winner of the "Women of Distinction" Prize presented by the Montreal-based "Y Foundation for Entrepreneurial Women". In August 2016, she was named "Person of the Week" by the La Presse media outlet.
