Alexandra Palt is a lawyer and a specialist in human rights. She worked in organisations specialising in CSR and diversity, then served as Director of Equality Promotion at the High Authority for Fighting Discrimination and Promoting Equality (HALDE).

In 2012, she joined L’Oréal, where she launched the Group’s first generation of holistic commitments to sustainable development, before becoming its Chief Executive Officer for Social and Environmental Responsibility and heading up the L’Oréal Foundation.

She joined the Executive Committee in 2019. She has led a profound transformation of the L’Oréal Group’s economic and societal model, which is now committed to operating within the planetary boundaries defined by environmental science and to a fair transition.

In 2024, she decided to leave her operational role at L’Oréal and was appointed Chair of the WWF France Foundation on 18 June.
