Our research this year indicates there has been some strong progress, but that significant challenges remain. Firstly, there has been a substantial increase in social and environmental issues being incorporated into business strategy, product development and investment decisions.
In fact now, 81% of participants have carried out formal risk and opportunity assessments in the context of global mega-trends, and 82% have taken environmental and social considerations into account when making corporate investment decisions. Furthermore 85% of particpating companies also calculate the financial value that CR brings. All of these have increased from around 65% last year.
