Biography

Raoul GUFFLET is the Deputy Managing Director of MCB Ltd. He is a member of the boards of directors of the MCB Group's banking subsidiaries (MCB Madagascar, MCB Maldives, MCB Seychelles) as well as Société Générale Mozambique. He oversees MCB's retail banking and specialized financing activities. He also heads the treasury department and is, as such, Chairman of the Bank's Asset/Liability Committee.

Raoul GUFFLET is a member of most of MCB Group's banks and strategic committees.

He is also the sponsor of MCB Group's sustainable development program, Success Beyond Numbers.

Before taking up his position as Deputy Managing Director in 2016, Raoul GUFFLET was head of the Corporate and Institutional Banking division created after he led the merger of the international and corporate banking divisions.

Since 2004, when he joined MCB as head of the international division, Raoul GUFFLET has been an important player in the international expansion of the MCB group. He was also responsible for the creation of MCB's captive venture capital fund, MCB Equity Fund, in 2005.

Before joining the MCB Group, Raoul GUFFLET spent 12 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he worked as an auditor, strategy consultant and, above all, in the support and restructuring of developing financial institutions in Eastern Europe.

Raoul GUFFLET studied in France and is a former student of the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne (Master of Economics), the University of Paris XIII (DESS International Finance) and INSEAD.

Raoul GUFFLET is also an advisor to France's Foreign Trade in Mauritius.
