Biography

Anton ESPIRA is the co-founder of Eco2librium (ECO2), a certified B-Corporation that applies business solutions to solve social and environmental problems. ECO2 has been recognized as "Best for the World Overall" in 2017 and “Best for the World Changemakers” in 2018 for its work with rural communities in Kenya.

Anton earned his PhD in tropical forest ecology from the University of Oxford under a Rhodes Scholarship, and has extensive experience in business and research in sub-Saharan Africa, South-East Asia and the United States.

Anton will be speaking about his experience growing Eco2librium into a successful company in rural Kenya, and encouraging other businesses to invest in Africa to reach a threshold that can wean Africa off foreign aid and build an ecosystem that will continue to seed entrepreneurship.
