Crédit Mutuel Nord Europe: A Community Bank at the Service of its Regions
The history of every company begins in a region: it has its roots, its DNA there. It's certainly the case for the Crédit Mutuel Nord Europe. Our regional bank is developing while remaining deeply attached to this proximity, to its regions and those who live there.
There is no incompatibility between a "community economy" and "globalised economy." Like large companies, SMEs and mid-cap companies in our regions can have international ambitions. But regions today are at the heart of major transitions and it is on their scale that the Crédit Mutuel Nord Europe can most usefully play its part to the full.
A bank has two main missions: it finances and invests. Our ambition is to have a positive impact where we are: on the economic growth of our regions, on our customers and society in the broad sense. Every day, we support families, craft workers, start-ups, small and large companies who need us to carry out their projects, to develop. By a domino effect, our company's action has a real concrete impact on the creation of local jobs, for example. To better understand and measure the scope of the incomes and jobs supported by the Crédit Mutuel Nord Europe, we commissioned the Utopies consultancy which carried out an in-depth study of our activities. And we are proud of its results: more than 21,000 jobs are directly supported by CMNE's activities in its regions and more than 41,000 in France.
At the regional level, it's easier for the financial world to meet the political world, the educational world etc. So it is possible to create eco-systems where various stakeholders make connections and work together to develop them. That's what we do by supporting various structural projects in our regions. Innovative real estate projects, cultural initiatives, voluntary and educational projects, entrepreneurial dreams etc.. In this way we participate in the collective effort to make the region more dynamic, more sustainable, more inclusive.
Far from major speculation, the Crédit Mutuel Nord Europe supports the local economy, the real economy.
