Moderator Elisabeth LAVILLE

Elisabeth LAVILLE is the founder of Utopies, a French consultancy firm which promotes sustainable development within the business world. She is a well-known CSR specialist and wrote several books on the subject.

Biography

UTOPIES is France's pioneering sustainability think-tank and independent consultancy, inspiring purpose-led brands willing to act as a force for good since its inception 25 years ago. In 2014, UTOPIES became the first B Corp certified company in France and has been leading the French movement ever since.

UTOPIES’s founder Elisabeth LAVILLE has been a leading voice in sustainable business and positive innovation for more than two decades. An innovative thinker with a background in strategic planning/brand strategy, she is a dynamic and engaging presenter on green consumption, sustainable innovation, positive brands, social entrepreneurship and mission-driven companies. She is the author of the bestselling book “L'entreprise Verte” ("A empresa verde" for the brazilian translation) among others, and sits on the Board of Directors of European retailer Nature & Découvertes as well as of Unis-Cités, a French NGO promoting civic service for youth.

Elisabeth LAVILLE was awarded the Veuve Clicquot Prize for Businesswomen of the Year 2008, and was made Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur that same year.
