The role of companies in building resilient cities amidst natural resource constraints
The combination of climate change, growing populations, and urbanisation increasingly puts pressure on limited natural resources in cities and regions around the world. In extreme cases the demand of cities and regions for natural resources can overshoot the available supply, which can result in human crises and a strain on development.
In this session we will look at practical examples of companies who responded creatively and constructively to such crises, and produced solutions that not only benefitted such cities and regions, but who also profited from it themselves. Best practices from different cities and regions around the world will be shared and showcased.
