Biography

Jean Kacou DIAGOU is currently president of, FOPAO, an organisation whose goals are to maintain constant contact and organise a framework of permanent and dynamic cooperation and to defend the material and moral interests of its members.
He is also head of the General Confederation of Enterprises in Côte d'Ivoire (CGECI) Ivorian Employers, founder and current President of the largest insurance group and Ivorian bank (NSIA Insurance) and its holding company, NSIA participations.
In 2006, he led negotiations that result in the acquisition of BIAO-CI, the oldest bank in Cote d'Ivoire, positioning itself as a forerunner of the bank-insurance in Africa.
He chaired the FAO (African Insurance Organisation) from May 2001 to May 2002 and FANAF (Federation of African National Insurance Companies Law), from 1990 to 1996.
He has a BA in Philosophy, an MA in Economics from the University Felix Houphouet Boigny in Abidjan and a specialisation in insurance CNAM, Paris. He began his career in the insurance field and has even served as Vice Chairman of AXA Group for Africa.
