Speaker Jean-François CARON

Jean François Caron est maire de Loos en Gohelle (re-elected twice at more than 80 percent).

In over 20 years he has given rise to a dynamic collective citizen emergence in order to transform this town of 7,000 inhabitants in the mining area a global benchmark for sustainable territorial development. And more broadly, to classify the mining area as World Heritage by UNESCO in 2012.

Regional Councillor and current president of the ecological and social transformation commission of the region,he experiments new public policies to economic ends goals but also ecological and social.

Following this experience he was entrusted by the President of the Regional Council to take in charge the steering of the third industrial revolution of the region
