The responsible revolution has already started in Hauts-de-France, with the emergence of the Third Industrial Revolution of which we are the pioneers. There are major challenges for the future of our region. With the Third Industrial Revolution, a new economic model is being created and our region is at the forefront of this revolution. New activities and sectors are emerging and the whole territory will, in the long term, reap the benefits.
The Third Industrial Revolution is already a tangible reality: over 700 projects and initiatives at work, 500 million Euros of investment per year and an increased impetus across our whole region. Our main aim is job creation which the Third Industrial Revolution will enable. The ambition that we have for Hauts-de-France is shared at all levels and must benefit everyone, residents, local authorities, small and big companies and associations.
The Third Industrial Revolution awaits us, with the aim of starting a new chapter in our industrial history and standing out in the heart of Europe. We have the assets for this, with areas of excellence which have allowed our region to be globally renowned: virtual reality, digital, robotics, bioeconomy, health, transport and even electrochemical energy storage. Hauts-de-France is a large industrial region, so we want to stay one step ahead.
I would like to wish everyone an excellent forum,
Xavier Bertrand, President of the Hauts-de-France Region
Philippe Rapeneau, Vice President in charge of sustainable development, The Third Industrial Revolution (TRI) and the energy transition.
